Our Philosophy
Providing children with opportunities to explore nature is the best way to foster their natural curiosity and love of learning. Our curriculum is play-based, child-centered, and designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and independence, while emphasizing social-emotional development along the way.
Our Programs
Toddler Program:
We are a laid-back micro forest school in East Los Angeles, primarily based at Ascot Hills Park, with fieldtrips to Elysian Park, El Sereno Arroyo Playground, and Descanso Gardens.

CURRENTLY ACCEPTING TODDLERS AGES 20 -30 MONTHS
Our 1:3 ratio means each child benefits from a high level of individualized attention, safety, and care.
Monday-Friday
8:30am-12:30pm
$1,200/month for 5 days/week
$500/month for 2 days/week
New El Rio Afterschool Program for TK and Kindergarten:
Our Waldorf-inspired curriculum will focus on nature-based games, activities, and art projects with lots of free time for exploration and fellowship. Teacher Grayson will pick the kids up at El Rio School and walk them to Los Angeles State Historic Park where they will spend their afternoons full of discovery, imaginative play, and creating a deep and lasting connection with nature.

Hello!
With 20 years of childcare experience and 7 years of wilderness leadership experience, there's nowhere I'd rather be than outside with kids. I grew up playing in the forests of Western North Carolina, and I want my students to spend lots of time outside exploring with friends, too.
I am first aid and CPR certified, a former Wilderness First Responder, and longtime outdoor educator for children and adults. I am also a clown and a puppeteer!
